| Yes. Better pegs. The Authenticity Police will look the other way as you remove the original pegs, carefully noting the correct diameter and length before storing them in acid-fee packaging, and search for sturdier material -- not limited to wood -- from which to cut new pegs. No ? Best of luck with your Cado Improvement Project (CIP) ! | |||||

| ... luck. Without the hub liner the chair will wobble, sometimes tremendously. need to get an accurate measurement of the inner diameter of the female part exiting the base and an accurate measurement of the diameter of the male part that exits the bottom of the chair etc. you can call them, they are pretty good over the phone as long as you make sure you are not just talking to the receptionist. http://swivel-chair-parts.com/HubLinerPage.html | |||||

| Go it here is a pick of the diffuser on one of the Nessen lamps at my plase. Note that it is just a flat disk and lacks the rolled edge but close enough I would say. On the Nessen site there is a link to an illustrated buying guide which I have attached. Pretty sure they refer to this diffuser as a "Downlight disk". On page 4 of the buying guide there is a section titled replacements parts and it is found there. Largest diameter available is 10.5 inches. http://www.nessenlighting.com/pdfbig/Nessen%20Buying%20Guide%20-%20Effec... | |||||

| Here's an example of the... Here's an example of the dowel-type seat. The original dowels are smaller diameter and are one per side, but we didn't know that when we did this chair. We use Pirelli webbing because it's supposed to last longer. Maybe someone on here can turn you on to the secret stash of Pirelli webbing for http://themidcenturybeehive.com/post/60220643686/happy-holidays | |||||

Table diameter is ~47.5 inches and extended length with two leafs is ~83 inches. Appreciate your help. Thank you. http://www.flickr.com/photos/105768285@N05/10351924533/in/photostream/ | |||||

| here you go- The cutouts in the wood are exactly 1" diameter. This is the shelf. The upright side pieces butt up against the end of the shelf and the small end of the screw goes directly into a hole in the side piece, no hardware at all. I'm not sure how to tighten the hardware up once the joint is assembled, but I have someone here who has put these together recently and he can advise me on that. It's like the typical European knockdown fastener you see nowadays, only...not. | |||||

| Alternatively: If you can ... Alternatively: If you can find anything that fits the nut with the weird threads, be it threaded rod, a screw, etc, then: -get threaded rod of the right diameter and a coupling (metal tube with threads inside) -get JB Weld -stick some JB Weld on threads of the threaded rod screw it into the coupling halfway -insert the weird threaded thing you've found into the other end of the coupling with a bunch of JB Weld. | |||||

| From the photos, they look... From the photos, they look vintage to me, and I don't believe there were any vintage knock-offs of the CH37. The only thing that seems slightly off is the cord diameter (appears to be larger), but they could have been re-corded at some point in the past. | |||||

| bulb soccet hi they have normal bulbs with a bajonette soccet this is common in france, not here in belgium. the bulb has the normal size like all normal bulbs about 55mm in diameter size of the lampshade is about 40cm diameter could indeed maybe be US production as aluminium is a common used material in US. In europe they used a lot of copper in the past, right? | |||||

| ... compare the shape of the pedestal to current Saarinen tables, you can spot several differences: The diameter of the bottom is bigger. It may look like this is due to the camera angle but compare it to the stem diameter and you will see the differences. The flare from stem to base on the Saarinen starts lower than on the uncoated aluminum base. If you look at the negative space defined by the base, you can see that the radius of the curve on yours is the same top and bottom while the Saarinen has a smaller radius curve on the bottom. The chairs have the sa ... | |||||

| Well, I guess I found a... Well, I guess I found a partial answer to my own question. I just came across a photo online that shows both frame styles in the same chair set. I'm not sure why they would go with two details here. The stepped version makes it look more American, to my eye at least. The different style number is still confusing to me. (edit) - upon closer inspection of the photo, the top part of the legs are actually the same size, with the step resulting in a smaller diameter leg below. | |||||
