| Hello, A friend of mine bought a design room divider about 25 years ago. She can't remember designer's name but she think it was Italian. Is there anyone out there who can help her with this? The room divider is made of black wood and contains real glass, it is very heavy. On top and the bottom are steel cables. Please see the attached pics. Thanks a lot and regards from the Netherlands Hountsje | |||||

| Please help me identify this room divider and chair/telephone stand | 2 Relevance | 13 years ago | martinjho | General discussion | |
| Hi, I am new to MCM furniture and when I saw these two pieces, I had to have them. Now that they're mine, I'm looking to see if I can find anything out about these pieces. They are both unmarked. I know the large piece is a room divider because the doors slide on both sides. Any input you can provide would be much appreciated! Martin | |||||

| Not many Room Dividers? | 2 Relevance | 13 years ago | dannyboy | General discussion | |
| Not many Room dividers? Thank you for the reply. No intention of selling it, just interested if I paid too much. Not using it currently as a room divider (the small drawer pushes through with the same pull on the other side and there are identical upper sliding doors on the other side. I've seen several Sculptura dressers, side tables, and headboards online all of them refinished, but not many of the room dividers. Have you? I like the original finish (darker than the refinished pieces I've seen). | |||||

| The room divider and... The room divider and candelabra have always been two of my favorite Umanoff designs. As an aside, I once found a Umanoff bar (full size...not the cart) in the garbage about 2 blocks away from my apartment. Not knowing what else to do, I literally bent over, hauled it up onto my back. I somehow managed to get it to the courtyard of my building-where I nearly collapsed. Now its sitting in an attic storage space waiting to eventually find a home. | |||||

| Room divider Thanks for the information. Yes, the poles do have the holes on both sides so it could be a divider though I've just set it up against a wall. It's a great design. I especially like the inside of the desk unit with the dovetailed sliding drawers. Any idea what years this particular model was made? I bought it from a man whose mother had purchased it back in the sixties. | |||||
