| Nanna ditzel cradle I posted about this in the other thread quite awhile ago but it's worth mentioning again because the cradle will soon have a new occupant---our first grandchild! The cradle was with the dregs in a big auction and had a weed whacker or something like that in it. I couldn't get to it to look for marks (having no idea what it was). I was sure someone else would bid but no one did and I got it for the opening bid of $30. I told my daughter, also a MCM afficionado, and she said, "You can't sell that!" And of course, I couldn't. That was se ... | |||||

| Mystery Chair - Nanna Ditzel? Adrian Pearsall? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | mark737 | Identification | |
| Picked up one of these chairs this week and image searches return a number of examples with most attributing to, or listing as "in the style of" , Nanna ditzel or Adrian Pearsall. The pair pictured here lists both names and has an asking price of $9800. You'll be shocked to hear that none of these sellers shows a tag or mark to back up these attributions. Well, my chair still has a tag. Any guesses before I post a photo? Attachment: Image6.jpg | |||||

| Ile by Piero Lisoni for Living divani Hi, I'm about to order this very thin minimalist sofa (see link) as a replacement for an impractical minimalist day bed (do you see a pattern here). The by-line for the Ile is "minimalist but not at the expense of comfort" I'm wondering if anyone has actually sat on one and what their thoughts are? Thanks very much! http://www.architonic.com/cat/gal/1002403 | |||||

| i want to dive in to some warm water somewhere I want things to slow down for a minute. The houses on the street I grew up on have all been torn down and replaced with massive houses with no soul. How much room do people need? At my friend's memorial service this week, I made a new friend. Tim Horton's cheese bagels taste very bad. Good red wine tastes very good. Also, at my friend's memorial, the minister said the most ridiculous thing ever. She actually said that "xx's up there, using that big computer in the sky", which gave new meaning to "ending on a hi ... | |||||

| mine is a dumpster-dive... mine is a dumpster-dive find. an obvious knock-off. the little label underneath on the chrome says 'made in italy'. but it is the thickest leather and can't imagine it ever stretching or breaking down. tight and solid. bridle leather. i wish the label had more info. that is who i would seek out replacement leather... i should look clearly at an original, but i think the leather should be thick and firm. the chair design allows for so much give in the tubing design. | |||||

| Interesting diversity of views ... Some obviously do view cars with the same eye with which they view other design artefacts, and by the same criteria - beauty, form, function, whatever - whereas one or two go for the "it's a thing with wheels to carry stuff in" view. Must admit I am surprised to find the former in the majority here 🙂 Olive and whitespike: why is a chair not simply a thing with 4 legs for sitting on, of which the only parameters are seat size and maximum weight carried ? Or rather, if the mental leap, the 'transcendence' required to percei ... | |||||

| KWC diverter NOW, THIS POST WAS ALL ABOUT THE diVERTER... A LITTLE KNOB THAT SWITCHES THE WATER BACK AND FORTH FROM THE TUB SPOUT BELOW AND THE HANDSHOW ABOVE. The link below is to a model by KWC, but this tiny little "switch" with hardware and trim will run you about $250+ So, I'm looking for a more practical option. SO, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? http://www.kwcamerica.com/usa/en/content/products/images/K_27_H3_70_000A... | |||||

| Divide an conquer is not the answer. alexandersforum, Divide an conquer is not the answer. This forum is a success is it stands. After all you seem to be reading and complaining. whitespeak was right (I know it is hard to believe) in his second sentence of the first posting. For me it a fact of life to be inspired and to inspire others with no consideration for time only for desire. If you are tired of reading, feel free to close this application on your computer.
