| How about hoofs instead of puny coaster disks? What I like about Wegner so much is that he did not check his manhood at the door when he went into the design studio. Alas, just as not all aspects of womanhood are beautiful, not all aspects of manhood are either. 🙂 Still, bad Wegner is still better than no Wegner, though not by much in this case. | |||||

How hard is it to get an original and work from that? Anyone working from an orginal should be able to get something virtually indistinguishable, FH even give away cad files! | |||||

| I dislike these lamps... I dislike these lamps because they are of very poor quality materials and construction, unstable (too lightweight), brittle, poorly finished, derivative and inefficient. Few if any of these criticisms could be used in relation to an Eames chair or Nelson sofa. Possibly they achieve 'the look' (at a distance) but often this is the most easily achieved part of the design process wouldn't you agree? I'm not sure how arguments of 'validity' come into it really. To argue that all objects are equally valid is, to me, a dead end. Of course ... | |||||

| I don't dislike the 57. I... I don't dislike the 57. I think it is a cool design. I was just saying it might be a tad much for me. Designs like the Bird chair are as OTT, but it does not not occupy as much visual space. It's the same reason why I could have an orange armshell but not an orange sofa .... sheer volume. Like I described before, I think the sofa would be very nice in a very subdued environment in a neutral color. | |||||
