| is there any photos of the bases of these chairs, I bought two of them, mint condition in Black and Orange but I don't believe the bases are the original, these bases are like the H base on the shell chairs. | Hi addicts, I bought my dream chair last week - a Bertoia diamond Chair. But the seller didn't have any papers on it, so I just need a confirmation, that its not a fake. Not knowing has been killing me. It has a Knoll 'Made in Italy' sticker on the frame - suppose that a good thing. Edges seem to be sleek and nicely finished. Only thing putting my off is the grinding on the frame (last foto) - I don't know if it is normal or from a previous reperation. Info: paid 475 euro for the chair. I hope you guys can help me out! | |||||

| I found these chairs (1 bird chair and 2 diamonds) in the dumpster. Can someone tell me if they are authentic Knoll Bertoia Chairs and what the age/year may be? Also, both of the diamond chairs need some welding done, what does that do to the value? Anyone know if there is anyone custom making the covers for these? | Hopefully, someone can provide a lead on this one... I have a diamond chair and ottoman, both with covers whose foam is on its last legs-- compressed and deteriorated to the point of showing the impression of the wire mesh below. Ive seen cover replacements for the chair, but never the ottoman cover. Anyone have a source of replacements, or a lead on someone who can simply replace the foam? (Located in Michigan, U.S.) | |||||

| Picked all this up today in two separate locations (what are the odds?!) First pictures attached are of the dining set. | Has anyone seen anything like this? I picked this up at an estate sale yesterday.... Selling off the back stock of a Scandinavian and modern design shop that went out of business in the 70s. The mesh is really odd. I was wondering if it might be an upholstery form? The final photo shows it next to another diamond for comparison. The upholstery tag is dated 1970. | |||||
