| Yes, the cord is used directly from the roll | 2 Relevance | 13 years ago | Spanky | General discussion | |
| Yes, the cord is used directly from the roll on chairs like the 75 where there is no extra wrapping on the side rail. (Wegner CH23 is an example of extra wrapping on the side rail.) In that tutorial on page 6 you can see how the side-to-side weaving is dong with a loop of cord at the leading end. You are weaving two strands at once with a loop at the leading end. When you hook the loop on the L-nail on the far rail, you will already have the return strand in place because you did two at once. Then all you have to do is pull it tight, loop it around a nail ... | |||||

| Cleaning directions from Knoll | 2 Relevance | 20 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| Cleaning directions from Knoll are the same as for any plastic laminate... If there is a tough stain they say you can use soft scrub to lift the stain... I use Windex to clean the top... No problems with red wine, tomato or ink stains... I'm careful with the top but so far it seems to be pretty bulletproof... I'm smitten with the feel of the laminate... | |||||
| Noguchi table disaster | 2 Relevance | 18 years ago | Riki | General discussion | |
| Last night I was at a dear friend's for bridge, (OK, that's enough), and one of the "girls" tripped and fell directly on top of the hostess' Noguchi IN-50 original table and smashed the glass top to bits. When the glass crashed, it scratched the lacquer on the base in a number of places, some quite deeply. Needless to say, my friend is devastated as that table has been in her family since the 40's. My question is this, since saving that particular table is most important to her, what is the best way to accomplish that? My suggestion to her was to buy anot ... | |||||

| H all, great discussion! At Evans Company, we have designed and manufactured our 45-degree Evans Clips in Scandinavia as an improvement and replacement to the Fagas Strap. Our Evans Clips are made in galvanized steel and stone tumbled so they last and won't harm your furniture. The Fagas Straps sadly have been declining over the years in quality and therefore longevity, and to top it off, the cost was dramatically increasing every year! We thought we'd do our part to continue to provide customers with quality replacement straps, while not passing along the c ... | |||||

| Try calling Knoll directly... Try calling Knoll directly instead of just emailing. I had them send out some small pieces I was missing free of charge. I'm sure they have buttons around. If you don't have any luck, try to call the Knoll museum or whatever it is called. They might be able to help, too. Good luck! | |||||
