Madrid Design Festival 2020

The Madrid Design Festival is an international festival that aims to turn Madrid into a design capital and place it in a privileged place in the international context. The annual event is held during the month of February and covers all design disciplines, from architecture to graphic design through communication or interior design, all of them hybridized in a contemporary and innovative format.
The Madrid Design Festival is a long-distance project that is present throughout the city, becoming the best tool for democratising design and transmitting the importance of a discipline that transforms our lives on a daily basis. A language capable of generating methodologies, changing mentalities, positively altering our environment and, above all, redesigning the world.
The festival is an event full of ambitious proposals that place design in the cultural calendar of the city, attracting a national and international audience to its exhibition and training activities spread throughout the capital.
For this purpose, the Madrid Design Festival proposes a transversal programme that allows proposals by leading designers to be shown and, in turn, to opt for young professionals.
The festival works to turn the city of Madrid into a design festival every February, opening the season in which the city becomes a leading space in the fields of design and creation with reference appointments.
Madrid Design Festival, conceived and created by La Fábrica and under the direction of Álvaro Matías, has since its inception had the collaboration of an advisory committee made up of independent experts, specialists in different fields.
