Hi Folks

Has anyone seen anything like this before? We purchased from a lady who's parents purchased in 1961. Its big, big enough to sit two on it. They mentioned that it could be Plycraft but I am not too sure. The base is made of steel and as you can see its fairly rusted.

Any thoughts greatly received.

Thanks

Ed

Saw a few examples, all attributed to Ib Kofod-Larsen.  Links were all dead, so could not see if they included any tags or markings, and none listed a maker.  Someplace to start anyway.

Hi Both

Have you had any luck identifying the chair?

Thanks

D

Hi DreamUK27

I didn't get to the bottom of this one. All paths lead to a similar chair attributed to Kofod Larsen which we can't confirm. The research continues and I will report back once I find out any more information.

Thanks

Ed

Hi edmccoll

Thanks

What i know, is my parents had a pair, purchased from a exclusive furniture retailer in 70's Maskreys in Newport South wales which closed in 2011 i think.  I too am trying to track this down.   So I too am interested in finding out the maker.   Its not been easy.   My parents gave their chairs away in 90's   I do hope you have more luck than I am having.  But if I find out anymore I will post back too.   I think looking at images the feet are the key thing no other similar chair have those feet

Thanks @dreamuk27, thats good information to have. Pity your parents gave them away as the one thing I know for certain is that it is the comfiest chair I have ever sat on. I was sure I wouldn't ever find anything as comfortable as the GPlan Housemaster and this came into my life. I will keep in touch with any more info and I think you are right about the feet.

Thanks

Ed
