Extra large extendable table designed by the famous Finnish designer Alvar Aalto for Artek. The table is made of birch wood with the table top made of special ‘flamed’ wood veneer. The table is in nearly mint condition with only minimal signs of use. There is a little bit of veneer damage on one of the corners. As you can see the table has the famous L-legs that have earned Aalto so much recognition, and it houses the two extra leaves under the main top. How convenient is that. It’s a design of the 1930s but I think this table dates from the 1950s or 1960s. I assume that it’s model H94 but I’m not sure about this. It’s a very rare table and signed with the Artek factory stamp. H x w x d = 74 x 130-180-230 x 90 cm / 29,1 x 51.8-70.9-90.6 x 35.4 inch.
