Vintage CT2 chair by Willy Van der Meeren for Tubax

CT2 chair by Willy Van der Meeren for Tubax. Vintage. 50s / 60s. Structure in black lacquered tubular steel. Seat and back in light gray skai (imitation leather). The metal shows few signs of use consistent with its age (but no rust). The original upholstery is also in (very) good condition (apart from a small scratch at the top of the backrest (see photos). The Tubax brand (Belgium) is well known to lovers of the industrial style. This Belgian brand reached its peak under the artistic direction of the great designer Willy Van der Meeren (also called ‘ the belgian Jean Prouvé ‘).
