This set of 2 modules from the Otto Zapf Sofalette range was developed by Otto Zapf in the 1970s. The corn-yellow Alcantara the modular armchair is in very good condition. The base frame is a fiberglas shell which comes in both armchairs in a age-appropriate state. No cracks, only slight chips on the upper edge which cannot be seen when the chair is standing. The two modules can as a 2-seater sofa or but also as individual seating elements. Otto Zapf founded the company Vitsoe+Zapf together with Niels Vitsoe in 1958 and cooperated with Dieter Rams. In 1969 Otto Zapf left the joint company and in 1970 designed the Softline system, which became a great success for him. After that Otto Zapf worked as a designer for Knoll Int. His designs were made by Knoll Int., B&B Italia etc.
