This black leather armchair comes in excellent condition. It is without the usual signs of wear and tear on the armrests and the sensitive back of the backrest is in excellent condition, except for one point with slight pressure marks. The seat and back cushions offer good seating comfort. The accompanying ottoman is also in excellent condition. This version has the rarer round base made of brushed aluminum which is in good condition for both the armchair and the ottoman. The sheer dimensions and angles of this chair are still impressive today and make this Siesta 62 one of the most attractive armchairs of the 1960s. Hans Kaufeld was a German designer who founded his company in 1918 and produced furniture of the highest quality. Kaufeld also delivered his chairs to the Chancellery in the 1960s. This Siesta 62 chair was designed by jacques brule for kaufeld in the early 1960s.
