This original Hayat Roorkee Campaign chair set from the 1960s is in good condition considering its age and use. The brown leather is soft and not cracked and only shows patina on the back of one chair. The wooden frames, in a warm brown tone, are in very good condition. The tension ropes are all fine. There is also the transport bag made of ocher-colored canvas. The Safari Roorkee Chair was developed in 1933 by Hayat Brothers in Pakistan for British officials and has been used on safaris. Hayat developed a model that can be dismantled quickly, but is still stable and comfortable. High quality materials such as rosewood and the best leather were used.
